This notice explains how Tekgates UK ("we", "us") handles personal information collected through tekgates.com. We are the data controller for this information under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What we collect

When you use our contact form we collect your name, work email address, organisation, phone number, the topic you choose and your message. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies on this website.

Why we use it

We use your details to reply to your enquiry and, if you become a client, to provide our services. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to requests you send us.

Spam protection

The contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA through Firebase App Check to tell people from automated bots. reCAPTCHA loads only when you start filling in the form. It collects hardware and software information, such as device and browser data, and sends it to Google for analysis. Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.

Where it is stored

Enquiries are stored in Google Firebase. Google may process data outside the UK under safeguards approved for UK data transfers.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries that do not lead to work for up to 12 months, then delete them.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you by using the contact form or calling us. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
